Stereo Amplifier Circuit using TDA2822 IC

TDA2822 is one kind of Op-amp (operational amplifier) that can be used in low output applications like a stereo amplifier. TDA2822 IC Stereo Amplifier Circuit

TDA2822 IC integrated into stereo mode is shown in below figure. The input of the left channel is given to the pin1 that is the noninverting input of the first built-in amplifier phase and the input of the right channel given to pin16 that is the noninverting input of the second built-in amplifier.

The pin1 of these built-in amplifiers are connected to GND terminal with separate C5&C6 (1000uF) capacitors. The left and right amplified outputs are available at pins 6 &11 of the IC. The outputs are fixed to the related speakers using capacitors like C1 & C2 correspondingly.

The 4.7-ohm resistor and 0.1uF capacitor branch linked across speakers which are intended for progressing high-frequency strength and stopping oscillations. Here, capacitor C7 is the power supply filter capacitor.

TDA2822 Amplifier Circuit In Bridge Mode

The TDA2822 amplifier output power can be improved by using it in this mode using the bridge arrangement and it is shown in below figure. The input of the audio is given to the noninverting input (pin1) of the primary built-in amplifier. The non-inverting input of the next built-in amplifier is given to GND terminal. The inverting i/p of these amplifiers are connected to GND with the help of capacitor branches like C9, C11. The Branches like the R6, C10, and R5, C8 are intended for progressing higher frequency stability and stopping oscillations. Here, C12 Capacitor is used to filter the power supply.

Stereo Amplifier Circuit with PCB Layout

A PCB layout and its components layout of the stereo amplifier circuit using TDA2822M is shown in the below figure. After connecting the circuit, surround it in an appropriate box. Fix VR1 & VR2 potentiometers on the front board of the box intended for controlling the volume of left and right, respectively.
