Wireless Message Communication between Two Computers

This project has been developed to ensure communication between computers in any organization using a wireless technique. This system can be used at offices to ensure feasible communication between employees using the wireless technique.

The 2.4GHz XBee module consisting of both the transmitter and the receiver module is interfaced with the serial port of the computer through a MAX 232 IC used as a level shifter IC. A timer is also used to provide signals to trigger a buzzer alarm in case of the reception of the message. Thus the person receiving a message can get an alarm tone about the arrival of a new message.

PC Based Electrical Load Control

This project has been designed to be used at places like theatres, auditoriums where a centralized control system can be used to control the switching of all the electrical appliances. The control can be given through a central computer which gives commands which are accordingly processed by a microcontroller to control the switching of the loads.

The commands are given through the keyboard on the computer. The computer is interfaced with the microcontroller through a level shifter IC. The microcontroller on receiving the commands accordingly provides signals to the relay driver to drive the relay which in turn ensures the switching on or off of the lamp.

Password-based Remote Controlled Door Opening by Android Application

This project is designed to build a system wherein the door can be remotely opened or closed based on some password. The commands are sent from a smartphone with a Graphical User Interface touchscreen-based application and accordingly processed to control the opening and closing of the door.

The GUI app on the smartphone with a touch screen panel is used to enter the password. This password is sent through Bluetooth communication to the receiver part. At the receiver part, the Bluetooth device receives the information and feeds the data to the microcontroller. The microcontroller matches this data with the one available in the microcontroller. If the password matches, the microcontroller sends appropriate signals to the motor driver to provide rotation to the motor to open the door.

Controlling of Streetlight through WiFi

This project uses internet access as well as sensor technology to turn ON or OFF the street lights during day time and night time. By using another method, we can also control the light whenever we need it. So this technology is very helpful in dim up the light wherever it is not necessary. So by using this project, energy costs can be reduced.

Home Automation through RF

This proposed system is used to control the home appliances with the help of Radio Frequency (RF) communication. We know that home automation can be done in different ways using different communication technologies. In this project, RF communication is used with a microcontroller.

Passport Details using RFID

This project is used to verify the passport details using the RFID module. The required components of this project are RFID module, minor components & microcontroller. First, we need to scan the passport on the RFID reader module so that the information can be passed to the microcontroller. Then this microcontroller changes the data & illustrates the passport holders’ data on the display.

Intensity Modulation based Optical Communication Direct Detection

Optical wireless communication can be defined as the communication which uses modulated light to travel through an unguided medium. In this project, The OWC system performance can be achieved by using IM-DD which means intensity modulation & direct detection through the intensity of modulating light at the source & an intensity detector can be used at the destination. In optical communications, direct detection is used so that the input signal is given directly to the receiver through unwanted noise.

Optical Transmission Medium Simulation with Matlab Tools

This project provides design & simulation of the optical lane which comprises the effects of linear & nonlinear using the MATLAB. The program contains a simulation and calculation element of nonlinear effects wherever the signal is observed within a real-time. So this program mainly deals with different kinds of modulation techniques as well as optical environment characteristics.

At present, attention in the transmission of signal information using optical fibers has been increasing rapidly because of the transmission quality & wide bandwidth. This contribution mainly covers modulation methods used within the optical transmission medium.

Avoidance of Collision based on Optical Flow for Multi-Rotor UAVs in Urban Areas

This project targets designing of the control system, dynamic modeling & collision avoidance based on a vision for UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) with multi-rotor. These are defined like rotary-winged based UAVs including several rotors.

These UAVs are used in different military conditions like reconnaissance & surveillance. These are mainly used to obtain visual data from disaster sites. In this project, a model like a quadrotor is designed with a control system. This system is designed with a proportional integral derivative controller as well as a control system for collision avoidance based on vision.

The External Features Role in Face Recognition using Central Vision Loss

The proposed system is used to evaluate how to recognize the images of the familiar faces based on the internal & external features of the face in individuals using central vision loss. In the first experiment, the movements of the eye can be traced while identifying the common faces within an observers group using central vision loss for deciding the places of fixation.

Diffractive Optical Elements Novel Application used in Optical Systems

The proposed system with DOE (Diffractive Optical Elements) has huge potential for FTTH (fiber-to-home network) as evaluated through other methods like waveguide splitter, fused fiber couplers & MEMs (micro-electro-mechanical systems) which are all affected by high Polarization Dependent Loss (PDL) and consistency loss. In this proposed system, the of the splitter performance of the optical beam within both 1D & 2D packaged Si (silica) & POF fiber arrays can be implemented.
